Insurance

No insurance?  We can help!  Ask us for more details.

If you live in Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Navarro, Kaufman or Rockwall counties and have no Medicaid or other insurance, we can assist you with obtaining state funding through North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA) to pay for your behavioral health services and medications. 

Please bring a picture ID, proof of residency, proof of income and any insurance you may have.

Registration

The registration process may take up to 30 minutes.  After you sign in, you will need to complete consents, a financial assessment, and registration information.

Walk-ins must arrive at least two hours prior to office closing, to allow time to complete the entire intake process.

Assessment

A clinician will meet with you to complete an intake assessment, safety plan and recovery plan that meet your individual needs.  Intervention services may be provided depending on the clinical need.

Psychiatric Evaluation

A prescriber will meet with you to complete an evaluation and diagnostic interview to determine treatment goals and medication needs.

Crisis Intervention and Management

Crisis services are offered to patients in need of urgent care.  SABH can provide patients with crisis interventions and urgent medication refills.

Recovery and Safety Planning

An individualized recovery and safety plan will be developed in collaboration with the patient that best meets the need.

Psychiatric Evaluations

Initial psychiatric evaluations determine diagnostic and medication needs.

Skills Training

Skills training is provided for both children and their primary caregivers and adults to help improve the ability to live, deal with feelings, cope with problems, and work well with others. Skills training includes targeted interventions to learn how to deal with life challenges.

Counseling Services

Counseling is provided to individuals in a safe and nurturing environment. Some of the issues that are commonly addressed in counseling are concerns related to stress, anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, guilt, low self-esteem, grief, and issues related to the effects of trauma.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation

Psychosocial rehabilitation is offered as a skill-building service for individuals to assist with co-occurring psychiatric disabilities and addictions. Our focus is on skill building to facilitate independent living and adaptation, problem solving, and developing coping skills.

Case Management

Case management services are provided to help individuals handle aspects of their lives that might impact whether they continue with addressing their mental health needs or have successful recovery outcomes. These services provide assessment, planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of options and resources to meet an individual's specific needs.

North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA) Enrollment

SABH can assist patients with no Medicaid and/or other insurance, and those who live in Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Navarro, Rockwall or Kaufman counties, with obtaining behavioral health funding assistance through the NTBHA program.

Medication Management

Medications are prescribed and monitored through crisis or ongoing services.
